Intro With T Season 2 Premiere: Daniel “Hussla D” Johnson

Kicking off Intro With T’s second season is Daniel “Hussla D” Johnson.

Coming back into Northampton after a long period away, I found myself experiencing the place where I grew up differently. Northampton is often written off by many for being a town where seemingly nothing happens, myself included, but having experienced so much of what creativity has to offer in every place I’ve been, I was convinced Northampton also had something special to offer. So I set out to find it.

I met Dan at the afterparty of the second annual Musically Unorthodox summit and immediately found what I had been looking for. That creative energy that never falls to draw me in. As soon as I stepped into the space, I knew it was something I wanted to be apart of. The live performances captivated me and every misconception I had about Northampton went out the window.

Daniel is a DJ, producer, artist, performer and an all-round lover of music. His music journey starts as far back as eight-years-old, when he released his first single on homemade cassettes and continues on to this day. He is also the founder of In Music In Media, a social enterprise that sets out to engage marginalised young people in music and creative programmes and show them creative career pathways.

Dan is a creative in every sense of the word and for me, the perfect person to kick off this new chapter of Intro.
